  2. When I was working on my paisley I found some things that worked for me and that didn't! Something that I started off doing was drawing everything with a pencil and then traced it with my Sharpie. It didn't take me long to realize that it took up quite sometime and that if you trace over the pencil markings with a yellow marker that you could still see the pencil mark. Towards the end of the project I started free handing everything with the marker so I wouldn't have to go back and trace the same lines that I was already planning on making. Another thing that helped was to draw your main shapes first then go in and add your design.

  3. From this project I liked Kelly Vande Brakes paisley the best. This was my favorite project this far because it was really fun and you could kinda do whatever you wanted. We didnt really have to follow specific directions.

  4. Dear Mrs. Miller,
You told me to talk to you so I am. I thought the paisleys were pretty cool, but I used to many colors so I think I could've done better. Emily's paisley's really good, though. I think it's neat to learn about older artwork like this. That's about all I can think of to say about this so...The weather is nice out! Have a GGGRRREEEAAATTTT weekend now!

  6. The kidney shaped paisley's originate from Persia and India. The name of the paisley is from a small town called Paisley in Scotland.

  8. From this project I like Delaney Marie Stroscheins paisley. I would have to say this is my favorite project because it was free and we could put whatever we want on there. It was probably my favorite project this semester.

  9. The paisley project was probably my favorite project so far. I liked how we could make up our own designs and do our own thing. Also how we could pick our own colors was great. The only thing I didn't like was that I kind of ran out of ideas. I like all of the paisleys everyone made!

  10. Today, I just finished up my purse. We drew our purses with cross contour lines. I liked drawing the lines. I liked the project because we didn't have to worry about shading and getting the paper all messy. The shading you had to do was by drawing your lines closer together. Overall this was a unique project.

  11. I liked the paisley project because we got to make it our own and could do whatever to it. I like the projects when we get to do that because it gives it a little more of yourself.
I also thought the purse project was pretty cool. It was hard at first to get the hang of it but once you did it was pretty easy!
Drawing the manikins was a little tricky to shape at first but I got the hang of it and then it was pretty easy! The shading got to be a little messy at times but the project was pretty easy to do!

  12. I liked the shading with words project. I drew a WWE Wrestler. His name is John Cena. When i was finished drawing him he looked like Spock off of Star Trek, but when I started shading with the words it started looking like him. This is my favorite project so far.

  13. I liked the shading with words project because we got to pick what we wanted to draw on our own. I drew a singer named Jason Derulo yeah he's pretty hot. But anyways i thought that this project was quite simple and fun. The project that didn't really was drawing the purses with contour lines. I knew how to draw the purse the thing i didn't get about the project was what ways the lines should go.

  14. I didn't really like the shading with words because I felt that it was hard. I kept wanting to shade everything and leave no blank spaces. I did two different drawings because my first one was bad. In the future I would use something easier to draw so that my final result would look better.

  15. I really enjoyed drawing the mannikin. It was easy for me to draw. I had fun shading them. If I could change one thing it would be the color of my shading I do think the redish color is cooler looking.

  16. I didn't really enjoy drawing the purses. I thought it was really hard and the cross lines confused me. My started to look like a design and not cross lines. I did finally at the end start making it look like it was curvy. So thats a good thing :)

  17. Drawing the purses was not my favorite. I didn't like drawing the contour lines because I didn't know how to draw them. I got confused on which way they were supposed to go. When I was finished with my purse it looked better than I thought it did at first:)

I liked drawing the mannikins. Even though sometimes it was hard getting the shapes of the body parts..but in the end it looked good. I would have changed the color that I shaded it because I didn't like the plain brown.

The drawing with words project was okay. It wasn't my favorite because sometimes you can't tell what the picture is because of the words. I would probably have change which picture I drew. I would have drawn a person.

  18. I enjoyed shading with words. A reason why is because I am giving it to somebody so I tried to make it look as neat and perfect as I could get it. I could've added more to it, but overall the result turned out pretty decent. I think that using the clear grids when drawing really helps me out. I had a lot of trouble making the matte for it, next time when I try matting I will make sure it works out the first time.

  19. The other project that I didn't mind was the mannikins. What worked for me was to draw the shape as close to the mannikin as possible and then go in and fix it up so it looks just like the actual mannikin. I could've added more mannikins to it or I could've shaded better. This project was a good way to work on where the light source is coming from. It really gets you thinking on what you are doing.

  20. I didn't mind doing the purse. We did contour lines. At first it was difficult for me to get the hang of it. Once, I got the hang of it, it became much easier to do. I feel like my purse turned out alright. I could've added more detail to it and I could've drawn in pen, because it would've made the contour lines show better. Overall it was a good project for me.
